Español This summer, S7 Airlines offers direct flights from Alicante to Moscow!
Following a meeting between leading Alicante based businesses and the Russian airline S7, a new agreement has been reached to offer daily flights between Alicante Airport and Moscow from June until September 2012.
S7 currently operates two direct flight routes throughout the year between Alicante and Moscow, but this will be reinforced in the coming months with daily flights in summer; three weekly flights between April and October, and two weekly flights in December, February and March 2013, with just one flight per week in January.
In 2011, 70,000 Russian tourists passed through the gates of Alicante International Airport, with many saying they would definately return to the region.
Like most international visitors, the Russians are drawn to the area by the beaches of towns such as Arenales del Sol, Torrevieja, La Mata and Playa Flamenca, together with tourist destinations such as the amusement parks at Terra Mitica, Terra Natura and Mundomar.
